Objectives:

Objectives OF TDAB:

  1.  An independent and effective tourism ministry
    1. Introduction of registration system for all the genuine tourism stakeholders/service providers by the authority.
    2. Implementation of the ‘Tourism Policy’ of the government modified in 2010.
    3. Active involvement of private sector to encourage and solve the identified problems of industry.
    4. Inclusion of private sector to the National Tourism Council as well as Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) and make them functional.
    5. Promotion of tourism industry outside Bangladesh by establishing information cell in all diplomatic missions serving abroad.
    6. Development of infrastructure facilities for Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Cox’s Bazar, Sundarbans, kuakata, Hill Districts and others important and undiscovered tourist spots.
    7. Special crush program for upgrading the infrastructure facilities of prospective tourist hubs.
    8. Introduction of tourist security guard or police likes many other countries of the world.
    9. Identification and necessary action against those unskilled tourism organizations that deceive tourist and misuse the same facilities.
    10. Exclusive tourist zone or tourist village in Dhaka primarily and then to other destinations
    11. Permanent reception and information desks at international airports managed by the govt. approved tourism associations.
    12. Tourism awareness activities by using mass-communication media and buildup a regular and independent publications department.
    13. Creation of such mechanism which help instant tourism development at any time and anywhere in Bangladesh.

OWN PROGRAM OF TDAB: 

01. Protection & Relation: Protect the rights of the actual tourism service providers and develop overall trade relationship between the member organizations.

02. Fairs & Events:  Organize and participate tourism fairs and events at home and abroad to attract domestic and international tourists.

  1. Publicity:  Grow public awareness by launching greater publicity, documentary films, videos, billboards and the like.
  2. Human Resource Development: Establish and efficiently run training institute to meet the greater shortage of skilled manpower.
  3. Investment: Generation of investment for particular trade as well as prospective areas or zones in tourism industry and create new sources of investment.
  4. Recognition:  Present award to personalities and organization for making greater contribution to the development of tourism.
